Miriam O’Brien is a pioneer when it comes to women breaking down stereotypes. I must admit that I had not heard of Miriam before doing my research, but after doing so I realize how much she has done for women. She was the first women mountain climber that did include having a male guide. In 1932, Miriam conquered Matterhorn and was the first documented female led expedition. She was adventurous while climbing new heights, but she was just as adventurous when breaking new ground for women in the future.
